Sweet banana acai pizza – paleo & vegan

Pizza is savory, unhealthy, contains gluten and is a calorie bomb? Well, this pizza is sweet, paleo, vegan, gluten free and the macros are amazing, too!

I love making sweet pizza as a quick afternoon snack and get creative with my toppings. As spring and summer call for berries, I decided to use the first local raspberries and strawberries from the farmers market to create a sweet pizza recipe.

And the jam I used as tomato sauce even contains acai which is known to be healing, immune-stimulating and energy-boosting. Research even reveals this antioxidant-rich berry may help suppress and repair oxidative damage.

Sweet banana acai pizza

  • 15 g plantain flour/Bananenmehl
  • 10 g pea protein/Erbsenprotein or more almond flour/oder mehr Mandelmehl
  • 10 g almond flour/Mandelmehl
  • 5 g coconut flour/Kokosmehl
  • 3 g flax meal/Leinmehl
  • sweetener of choice/Süße nach Wahl
  • vanille/Vanille
  • 1 teaspoon/TL baking powder/Backpulver
  • 1/2 teaspoon/TL baking soda/Natron

Acai berry sauce

  • 100 g berries/Beeren
  • 1 teaspoon/TL acai powder/Acaipulver
  • vanilla/Vanille
  • 1 tbsp/EL psyllium husk/Flohsamen


  • 1 banana/Banane
  • some berries/Beeren
  • coconut chips/Kokoschips
  • bee pollen/Blütenpollen
  • almond butter/Mandelmus



  1. Preheat the oven at 200' C top- and bottom-heat./Den Ofen auf 200 Grad Ober-/Unterhitze vorheizen.

  2. Mix all ingredients for the pizza base with 90ml of liquid and bake for 10-15 minutes./Alle Zutaten für den Pizzaboden mit 90ml Flüssigkeit vermengen und für 10-15 Minuten backen.

Acai berry sauce

  1. Put berries, acai powder, vanilla (sweetener if desired) and a splash of liquid in your food processor until smooth and then add psyllium husk and let sit until you get a jam like consistency./Die Beeren, Acaipulver, Vanille (Süße, wenn gewünscht) und etwas Flüssigkeit in einer Küchenmaschine mixen und die Flohsamen unterrühren. Quellen lassen bis eine marmeladeähnliche Konsistenz entsteht.

  2. Top your pizza base with the sauce and your toppings./Die Sauce auf die Pizza geben und mit Toppings verzieren.
